语法详解：
名词是表示人或事物名称的词，在句中主要充当主语、表语、宾语或宾语补足语。中考英语对名词的考查常体现于以下几个方面：
[考点一] 名词复数
难点突破：
1. 由两个或两个以上的名词所构成的复合名词，变复数时一般只将主要的一个名词变为复数形式。如：orange tree→orange trees, boy student→boy students。但如果是由 man或
woman 所构成的复合名词，则两个名词需同时改为复数形式。如：man teacher→men teachers, woman doctor → women doctors。
2. /“数词+名词/”构成的复合形容词中，名词只能用单数形式，而不能用复数形式。如：an
eight-kilo box, the 100-metre race。
3. 有些名词单复数相同。如：sheep，deer等。
4. German的复数为Germans，而不是Germen。
[考点二] 可数名词与不可数名词
难点突破：
1. news虽是以-s结尾的名词，但它是一个不可数名词。
2. bread, paper, advice等均是不可数名词，不要受汉语的影响而误认为它们是可数名词。
3. fish表示“鱼（尤指活鱼）”时是可数名词，指条数时复数仍为fish，指种类时复数为fishes。fish指餐桌上的“鱼；鱼肉”时为不可数名词。
4. orange作“桔子”讲时可数，作“桔子汁”讲时不可数。glass作“玻璃”讲时不可数，作 “玻璃杯”讲时可数，其复数形式glasses还可表示“眼镜”。
5. room表示“房间”时可数，表示“地方；空间”时不可数。
[考点三] 名词属格
名词属格（所有格）表示名词在句中与其他名词的关系。一般地说，-s属格多用于有生命的事物，而of属格多用于无生命的事物。
难点突破：
1. 以-s或-es结尾的复数名词, 其属格通常是在其后加 “’”。如：the
two boys’ mother，Teachers’
Day。
2. “of+名词’s”结构叫做“双重属格”，常用来表示整体中的一个或部分。如：
a friend of my father’s = one of my father’s friends
some students of John’s= some of John’s students
双重属格与of属格有时会在意义上存在差别。如：
a picture of Tom’s 汤姆所拥有的一张照片
a picture of Tom 汤姆本人的一张照片
