II. Expression Patterns 常用的表达方式

1. 一般现在时

（1）定义：一般现在时表示现在的状态，经常的或习惯性的动作或主语具备的性格和能力等。

（2）在没有任何助动词的肯定句中，如果主语是第三人称单数，那么句中的谓语动词也要用单数形式。

请同学们认真观察下列句子。

① She is a student. 她是学生。

② He looks young. 他看起来很年轻。

③ My father has a new car. 我父亲有一辆新轿车。

④ MeiMei likes English. 美美喜欢英语。

2. 现在进行时

（1）构成

现在进行时由助动词 be（am/ is/ are）+现在分词（动词-ing形式构成。）

现在分词的构成规则如下：

（1）一般情况，在动词的词尾加上-ing; 如：

do—doing eat—eating play—playing

think—thinking read—reading draw—drawing

（2）以不发音的e结尾的动词，先去e，再加-ing; 如：

ride—riding make—making have—having

write—writing take—taking give—giving

（3）以重读闭音节结尾的动词，末尾是一个辅音字母，它前面是单个元音字母时，即从末尾的字母向前数，是辅（音字母）+元（音字母）+辅（音字母）时，要先将词尾的辅音字母双写，再加-ing

run—running put—putting get—getting stop—stopping

cut—cutting begin—beginning

（2）用法

<1>表示现在正在发生（进行）的动作（不指状态）。如：

I am writing a letter. 我正在写信。

They are learning English in the classroom. 他们正在教室里学英语。

Is it raining now? 现在下雨吗?

The boy is helping his mother. 那个男孩正在给他妈妈帮忙。

We are looking at the picture. 我们正在看图片。

现在进行时的否定形式是在助动词be后面加not构成，例如is not （isn't）, are not （aren't）和 am not （没有缩写形式）

She isn't （is not ） looking after the child. She is doing homework她现在不在照顾小孩，她在做作业。

I am not taking photos. I am watching TV now. 我不在照像，我正在看电视

现在进行时的疑问式是将be放在主语前面，句尾改成问号即可。现在进行时的一般疑问句用“Yes, 主语+be动词”表示肯定回答；用“No，主语+be动词的否定形式”表示否定回答。现在进行时的特殊疑问句回答不能用“Yes”或“No”。如：

Is he sleeping? 他正在睡觉吗? No, he isn't. 不，不在。

Are you making a plane? 你正在做飞机吗?

Yes，I am. 是的。

What are you doing? 你正在干什么?

I'm cleaning the windows. 我正在擦玻璃。

What's she doing? 她在干什么?

She is having supper. 她正在吃晚饭。

<2>表示即将发生的动作。一般指最近按计划或安排要进行的动作。如：

They are going to Guan Zhou on Sunday. 他们星期日去广州。

Jim is coming next week. 吉姆下星期来。
