一. 教学内容:
Topic 2 Cooking is fun
1. I’m
glad that you are ready to help others.
我很高兴你能乐意帮助别人。
(1)这是以that引导的宾语从句,其中连词that可以省略,主句的谓语部分是be动词+ adj结构。
I’m afraid some people forgot to sweep the floor.
恐怕有些人忘了扫地。
Are you sure you’ve lost it?
你确信你把它弄丢了吗?
(2)be ready to do sth.准备做某事。乐意/愿意做某事。
Everything is packed, and we’re ready to leave.
东西都整理好了,我们准备离开。
我们应该乐意帮助别人当他们处于麻烦中。
We should be ready to help others when they are in trouble.
2. I’m
proud of you!
我为你感到自豪。
Our Chinese are proud of Yao Ming.
我们中国人以姚明为荣。
3. You
often teach me to be kind to the poor and old.
你经常教导我善待穷苦的人和年纪大的人。
(1)形容词前带the,表示一类人。如:
the young年轻人 the
old老人 the
rich富人
如:富人也有伤心的时候。
The rich may be sad sometimes.
(2)本句中出现两个to,前者为动词不定式,后接动词原形,后者为介词,与后面的名词构成介词短语。
I’m so tired, I want to have a rest.(to have a rest为动词不定式短语)
我太累了,想要休息一会儿。
I often walk to school.(to为介词)
我经常步行去学校。

First slice some cooked meat very finely.
首先把一些熟肉精细地切成小片。
(1)cooked在此处为过去分词作形容词,表示“煮好的,煮熟的”类似的用法还有broken
bike破单车、boiled
water开水
(2)fine形容词,好的,身体健康的
finely副词,微小地、细细地、精致地
slice…finely精细地把……切成薄片
副词修饰动词通常放在动词的后面。
类似的还有:
cook very carefully非常认真地煮
fry the meat lightly 轻轻地炒一炒肉
add the rice slowly慢慢地把米饭加进去。
(3)本句为祈使句,以动词原形slice开头
祈使句用来表示请求、命令、劝告、建议等,祈使句的主语一般都是第二人称you,但往往省略不用,祈使句的谓语动词用动词原形,祈使句的否定形式Don’t+动词原形,为使句子语气客气、委婉一些,常常在句首或句尾加上please,祈使句句末用句号或感叹号,常用降调。
如:请开门。 Open
the door, please.
请看着黑板听老师说。
Please look at the blackboard and listen to the teacher.
不要制造噪音。
Don’t make noise.
注意:祈使句的否定形式也可以用never开头,表示强调、否定得更彻底。
如:永远不要粗心大意,否则你会失败。
Never be careless, or you will fail.
不要独自一人到河里游泳。
Never swim alone in the river.

First…Next…Then…After that…Finally…
首先……接下来……,然后……,之后……,最后……
在完成一篇文章或短文时,有时有许多内容要分点叙述,或者完成一件事,需要一连串的动作来协调,这时就可以使用这些连词。如:
假如今天是你值日,首先打开门窗,然后往地上洒些水,然后打扫地面,之后擦擦桌椅,最后再把这些桌椅摆放整齐。
If you are on duty today, first open the window and door. Next, splash some
water on the floor. Then sweep the floor carefully. After that, clean up the
desks and chairs. Finally, make them tidy.

Then, cook noodles for 3—5 minutes in another pot.
然后,在另一个锅里放入面条煮上3—5分钟。
another, other, the other, the others的区别
这几个词很常用,同时也极容易混淆。它们既可作形容词,又可作代词。
(1)another指三者以上的“另一个”,作形容词时后面可接单数名词或“数词+复数名词”。作代词时,可单独使用。如:
你再给我一把椅子,好吗?
Could you give me another chair?
我又等了两个星期。
I waited for another two weeks.
我不喜欢这个,请再给我一个。
I don’t like this one, please show me another.
(2)the other, the others是特指两者之间的“另一个”、“另一些”。the other作形容词时,后面可接单数名词或复数名词。(前者相当于代词the
other,后者相当于代词the
others)作代词时,the
others是the other的复数形式。如:
他住在街的另一边。
He lives on the other side of the street.(形容词+单数名词)
另一些同学呢?
Where are the other classmates?(形+复数名词)
我将带上这个,你可以带上另一个。
I’ll take this one, you may take the other.(代词)
这篇文章比别的文章好。
This article is better than the others.(代词)
(3)other作形容词时,通常接复数名词,但在some, any, no等不定代词或物主代词时,可接单数名词。
There are other books on this subject.
涉及这个话题的还有别的书。
I have no other dictionary but this.
除了这本,我没有别的字典了。

After that, fill bowls 70—80% full with bone soup slowly.
在那之后,慢慢地往碗内倒入70—80%的骨头汤。
70—80%读作seventy to eighty percent.
fill…with…把……装满……
我把盒子装满了书。
I fill the box with books.
be filled with…(被动语态)……装满……
盒子里装满了书。
The box is filled with books.

首先将蔬菜和猪肉切碎。
cut up sth / cut sth up将……切碎、剁碎
cut sth切开…… cut
(up)sth into…将某物切成……
如:他在盘子上把肉切碎。
He cut up the meat on his plate.
妈妈把我的头发剪短了。
My mother cut my hair short.
他把牛肉切成了薄片。

It is + adj + to do sth. 句型中it是形式主语,真正的主语是动词不定式,若主语太长,为避免头重脚轻通常用it作形式主语,将动词不定式后置。

在法国吃饭时抽烟是礼貌的。
It’s polite to smoke during a meal in France.
